We are seeking a passionate and dynamic English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our high school faculty for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop critical reading writing and communication skills while fostering a love for literature and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging standards-based lessons in English Language Arts for grades 7-12.
- Develop and implement curricula aligned with state standards and school goals.
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through discussions projects and assignments.
- Evaluate and assess student progress through various methods including tests essays presentations and participation.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues parents and administrators to support student achievement and school initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-related activities.
Applicants must hold a current Arkansas teaching certificate. Any applicant who holds an out-of-state teaching certificate must provide documentation showing they have started reciprocity procedures as required by the Arkansas Department of Education.
Salary ranges from a minimum ($52020) to a maximum ($74777) - based on the 2025/26 salary schedule for a 190-day contract. Salary is based on experience. A complete salary schedule can be found on our school website.
