The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction purchasing and contracting for goods and services maintaining facilities managing state vehicles acquiring and disposing of real property and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally the department manages many of the states advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved.

Job Duties:
Support the Boards commissions team to ensure that the Governor appoints qualified candidates to all boards and commissions.
Major Task to be Performed:
Draft letters oaths and certificates for newly appointed members and file signed oaths notices of appointment and board checklists.
Final Product or Outcome Anticipated: Multiple products including letters and certificates hands on experience with the appointment process and an in-depth knowledge of NC government.
Academic Majors Desired: Public policy public administration political science liberal arts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills strong administrative skills and high level of attention to detail.
This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.
