Responsibilities:
- May oversees one or more of the following functions: budgeting tax payroll analysis and accounting activities throughout the organization.
- Provides direction to Finance department in computer applications and procedures necessary to provide appropriate guest and employee services maintains proper records to afford adequate accounting controls.
- Provides financial accounting personnel and operational support to the CFO.
- Designs and implements systems of internal control to safeguard company assets.
- Reviews and approves the companys financial statements on a monthly basis.
- May directs the budgeting financial analysis and payroll functions of the corporation providing appropriate information to management in order to implement operational and financial and capital plans.
- Coordinates tax activities with the assistance of corporate personnel to ensure compliance with legal and financial obligations.
- Directs cash activities in order o maintain appropriate balances and to maximize investment opportunities.
- Provides financial information and analysis to corporate personnel in order to monitor overall Ballys Casino Corporation financial objectives and to meet external reporting requirements.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and Louisiana gaming regulations.
- Maintains high levels of customer and team-member service.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Directly supervises General Ledger Accountant and Senior Accountant Payroll Supervisor and Accounts Payable Supervisor.
- Indirectly supervises payroll clerks and accounts payable clerks.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
