The Facilities department has an outstanding opportunity for an intermittent on-call Custodian to join their team.
The custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the buildings of the UW Tacoma Campus and supporting a learning environment that promotes health safety and integrity. This position provides regular building maintenance function by performing custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities for the entire campus including restrooms classrooms laboratories student gathering spaces auditoriums offices and conference rooms. The custodian position also serves as a role model for students by displaying a professional courteous and helpful nature.
This hourly intermittent position is considered essential and will be expected to continue to report to work if the University suspends operations. The position will have varied hours between 1st shift (3:30 am to 12:00 pm) Day shift (7:30 am to 4:00 pm) and 2nd shift (12:00 pm to 8:30 pm) and include event cleaning.
