EB Operations Analyst Tax

Euroclear Bank is looking for an Operations Analyst to join the Tax Operations team in Hong Kong.

Description for Internal Candidates

Our company is growing in Hong Kong and we need new team members for our Tax Operations team to expand in Asia.

Tax Operations sits within our Asset Servicing division in Euroclear Bank Operations Hong Kong.

Your part of the deal:

The Tax Operation processes the taxation of the various instruments based on client instructions. It implies the collection of the tax documentation the verification and input in our system and the processing of the different tax rates based on client documentation.

The tax amounts are collected from clients and afterwards reported and wired to the local Tax Authorities. Should the exemption at source be missed we offer a refund service to our clients.

Your role & responsibilities:

• Monitor and control the taxation process
• Analyse and input Tax certification
• Process the payments with the accurate tax rates
• Report tax information to Depositories and Authorities
• Analyse information received from the market
• Advance any discrepancy

As the team is structured around the Lean principles it is encouraged for each team member to actively participate in the Continuous improvement process.

In that framework some team projects may be assigned to you their size evolving with your expertise.

Your Profile:

• The ideal candidate will have strong Custody Operations experience
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated and a great teammate
• Good time management and communication skills
• Strong sense of risk awareness / focus (understand the impact of taking an action)
• Diligent and meticulous
• Autonomous open minded and a quick learner
• Proficient in using excel
• Proficient in English Chinese and other languages is/are a plus
