Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Primary Therapist

Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis every day wehelp people overcome depression anxiety suicidality obsessions/compulsions trauma chronic pain and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced therapist with a passion for delivering evidence-based therapy to adults in a PHP/IOP setting. Specifically we are looking for a therapist with experience working with patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use. What distinguishes us from other dual diagnosis programs is that we are primarily skills based and that we are not an abstinence based program. We can tailor our program to the patients substance goals ranging from reducing their use to harm reduction to abstinence and helping to understand the relationship between their mental health and their use.

As a Primary Therapist youll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings collaborating with patients outpatient teams and leading patients through their overall treatment program. Youll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams including Group Therapists Family Therapists and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.

What Youll Do

• Complete initial intake evaluation to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
• Provide group and individual therapy
• Provide family therapy as needed
• Communicate with patients family members or support system on a weekly basis or as needed
• Coordinate care with patients outside providers to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate with patients homeschool and attend school re-entry meetings
• Create individualized weekly schedules for each patient based on need
• Assess patients progress and need for higher level of care transition plan and/or discharge
• Chart progress of patients appropriately
• Complete administrative documentation (initial treatment plans/updates discharges attendance research)
• Participate in professional development activities
• Provide insurance utilization team with updates
• Provide group therapy as needed

Who You Are

• Hold the following licenses or certifications: LCSW LCPC LPC LSW MFT LMFT PsyD or PhD with 2 years of clinical experience conducting individual and family therapy.
• The ability to assist families and patients in talking about difficult topics is a necessity.
• Excellent time management skills ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment.
