At Garden Spot Village our Registered Nurse Supervisors provide leadership and oversight for nursing services ensuring high-quality resident care staff development and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for supervising certified nursing assistants coordinating care plans and supporting a safe and compassionate environment for all residents.
What Youll Do
- Comply with established policies procedures and standards including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct
- Follow Residents Rights policies at all times
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information including condition and family matters
- Counsel certified nursing assistants and recommend personnel actions to the Director of Nursing Service as necessary
- Observe and enforce infection control procedures related to nursing services
- Ensure the safety of residents under your care or supervision
- Adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduled
- Work cooperatively with administration nursing personnel physicians community agencies residents families and consultants
- Maintain a clean neat uniform and professional appearance
- Accept assigned duties cooperatively and assume accountability for responsibilities outlined in the employee handbook
- Direct evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective actions as needed
- Conduct daily resident rounds and report nursing care status to the Director of Nursing Service and Administrator
- Supervise the implementation of nursing rehabilitation and restorative programs
- Assist with analysis of incident and accident investigation reports determining causes and implementing corrective actions as appropriate
- Complete residents MDS assessments and care plans in a timely manner with follow-up as needed
- Review newly admitted residents and compare physician orders with care plans to ensure accurate implementation
- Participate in the Quality Assessment and Assurance Program for the nursing department in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Committee
- Perform other duties as assigned
What Were Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Experience supervising nursing staff preferred
- Knowledge of restorative nursing long-term care and infection control procedures
- Strong leadership communication and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to customer service teamwork and professional development
- Must rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- May be required to work during emergency conditions (short staffing severe weather evacuation post-disaster etc.)
- May be asked to work overtime to ensure adequate staffing
Additional Information
As a FLEX (per diem) employee there is a minimum of 16 weekend hours per month.
