The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army Navy and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated affordable and high-quality health services the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data has an immediate need for an experienced Senior System Architect to support our Federal client the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The Senior System Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the overall IT infrastructure strategy and governance that underpin DHAs mission to modernize health IT systems and improve delivery of healthcare services across the Military Health System (MHS). This role requires deep knowledge of IT architectures platforms and cloud environments coupled with the ability to translate complex health and data requirements into scalable secure and interoperable solutions that meet mission needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with DHA stakeholders program offices and MTF partners to define requirements and objectives for enterprise health IT infrastructure and data integration.
  • Assess design and implement end-to-end IT architecture including applications networks servers and cloud services that supports DHAs modernization and interoperability objectives.
  • Develop enterprise architecture artifacts (blueprints diagrams standards documentation) to communicate designs and ensure alignment with DHAs mission VAULTIS strategy and DoD health IT goals.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies industry standards and federal health IT trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Define and enforce architecture principles standards and best practices to ensure consistency data integrity and compliance with DHA and DoD policy frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT and program teams engaged in transforming health IT systems and data workflows.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify risks gaps and opportunities for optimization in support of DHAs enterprise health IT environment.
  • Partner with cybersecurity networking and application teams to ensure all systems meet DHAs security compliance and performance requirements including FedRAMP HIPAA and DoD IL standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise System Architect or similar role with a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and implementing complex IT architectures.
  • Strong expertise in IT infrastructure technologies including hardware software networks servers storage and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in architecture modeling tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook Word Excel SharePoint and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Falls Church Virginia - Hybrid

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $127000 - $159000. This is not however a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather salary will be set based on experience geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
