The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Description of Work
This Correction Enterprise Supervisor III (CES III) position is located at the Correction Enterprise Sign Plant in Bunn NC.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $41655 - $72897
Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
The Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Experience training and supervising staff in equipment and manufacturing processes.
Experience with and knowledge of equipment involved in metal or sign fabrication.
Experience managing resources including but not limited to equipment raw materials and manufacturing processes.
Necessary Special Qualifications:
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission. Click HERE for specific certification requirements.
Must be at least 20 years of age and a citizen of the United States.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Pass Psychological testing as required by NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
Pass Physical Examination as required by NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
Pass Drug Screening as required by NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
Attend and successfully complete (6) weeks of Basic Correctional Officer Training (BCOT) at a Training Facility. Employees shall be scheduled for BCOT during their 2nd week of employment.

Correction Enterprises is a self-sustaining division of the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction that operates more than 30 prison-based businesses. The program provides practical job training and skill development for incarcerated individuals preparing them for reentry and employment. Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in a related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive law enforcement experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Necessary Special Requirements Basic Law Enforcement Certification under North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission.
