Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join Carilion Family Medicine Rocky Mount. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population.

How Youll Help Transform Healthcare

The APP will assist physicians and nursing personnel in providing comprehensive primary health care services. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing planning and providing care to pediatric adult and geriatric patients

• Performing patient examinations and documenting appropriate clinical information

• Reviewing diagnostic reports and making care recommendations

• Managing medication refills and treatment plans

• Delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment

Preferred: Minimum of 2 years experience independently evaluating and treating patients.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Experience: 0

Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP) DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

Minimum qualifications: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems including electronic medical records.
