Job Summary
Rechtien Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Body Shop Technician to perform high-quality body repairs on commercial vehicles. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship works well independently and can deliver consistent reliable results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform body repairs on trucks and commercial vehicles including dent removal panel replacement welding fiberglass repair and refinishing.
Diagnose damage and determine appropriate repair methods according to OEM standards.
Sand mask prep prime and paint vehicle surfaces to achieve professional factory-grade finishes.
Repair and restore frames bumpers doors fenders and other structural components.
Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality accuracy and safety compliance.
Maintain an organized clean and safe work area and follow all company safety standards.
Document repair work performed and communicate status updates to supervisors or estimators.
Operate body shop tools and equipment safely including welders spray guns sanders and grinders.
Collaborate with parts and service departments to ensure efficient workflow and accurate repair timelines.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a body shop technician collision repair technician or similar role required.
Strong understanding of body repair techniques surface prep refinishing and structural repair.
Experience with welding painting and use of collision repair tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs at once.
High attention to detail craftsmanship and quality.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
