Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical
Location: Brooklyn NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Shift Hours: 7:30 PM 8:30 AM
Schedule: 3 Shifts per Week 11.5 Hours per Shift
Total Weekly Hours: 34.5
Compensation
Weekly Gross Pay: $3349.95
Hourly (W2): $70.00/hr
Weekly Stipend: $2660
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Brooklyn NY is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care perform advanced clinical procedures and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations
Administer medications IV therapy and treatments as ordered
Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation
Monitor vital signs lab results and patient responses to treatment
Provide wound care and post-procedural care
Document patient care accurately and in compliance with hospital standards
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with patient safety infection control and regulatory standards
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment
Education Requirements
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program (required)
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration from NYSED
AHA BLS certification
AHA ACLS (required for Queens-based assignments only)
