Social Media Lead
Location: Amsterdam Netherlands (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in the office)
Type: 12-month FTC with potential to extend
Role Mission
We are looking for a Global Social Media Lead to join our in-house client team in this role you will oversee social media strategy and execution partner closely with clients and ensure teams deliver best-in-class work across multiple workstreams.
Our ideal candidate combines strategic social expertise with strong client management skills and has experience leading teams. You should thrive in a hands-on environment working across social strategy data analytics and integrated campaigns. A creative eye strong communication skills and a passion for social and culture are essential.
What Youll Be Doing
- Lead social media and content implementation embedding best practices.
- Review reactive opportunities across brands balancing cultural relevance and risk.
- Own social channel strategy and oversee reporting and benchmarking.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and lead social new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with integrated teams (strategy data creative) to deliver proposals.
Personnel Management:
- Set expectations and goals review work mentor and coach team members.
- Manage HR admin (holidays reviews feedback).
Client Management:
- Build strong relationships and act as an extension of the brand team.
- Bring an entrepreneurial/start-up mindset to problem-solving.
Social Media Leadership:
- Develop and activate social/digital strategies across multiple initiatives.
- Stay ahead of platform trends and best practices.
- Oversee content calendars reporting and community management.
- Drive client presentations and ensure procedural updates are implemented.
This Role Is Right for You If
You have 8 years of experience in social media (agency or client-side).
Youve managed teams and know how to inspire and get the best out of people.
You live and breathe social and cultural trends and understand their impact on brand marketing.
You have experience deliveringbig campaigns and organic social in blended teams.
Youre confident working with clients and managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
