  Work Schedule: 6:30AM - 5:00PM. Either Monday -Thursday or Tuesday- Friday depending on crew assignment after hire. This position requires that you are available for emergency callouts.

  As a District Crew Leader for our Street Sweeper Operations team you will:
  • Safely operate construction and maintenance equipment such as street sweepers dump trucks plows and sanders front end loader skid steer semi-tractor trailer tanker hand and power tools
  • Snow and Ice operations along with other emergency response as needed for different events (snow rain hail wind fire and all other special events)
  • Operate a single or tandem axle dump truck with plow and sander
  • Apply chemicals abrasives and other ice control products during snow removal operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment
  • Perform manual labor such as shoveling heavy debris gutters and pedestrian ramps
  • Maintain log and record books
  • Provide lead supervision; schedule and coordinate the activities and services of assigned staff
  • Perform a variety of skilled construction and maintenance tasks

  • Apply and explain pertinent laws rules regulations and City policies and procedures
  • Work independently in the absence of supervision

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
• Five years of full-time professional experience in a related field including one year of supervisory experience
• Possess and maintain a valid non-probationary Colorado Class A Commercial Drivers License not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges

• Experience identifying soil types related to the construction and maintenance of paved and unpaved roadways
• Experience which demonstrates proficiency using Cartegraph Office Mobile Service data entry and query
• Colorado Class A Commercial Drivers License witha tanker endorsement

Supervision Exercised: This classification requires supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees or department including providing input on hiring/disciplinary action and work objectives/ effectiveness performance evaluations and realigning work as needed. A first line supervisor typically performs these tasks.
