The Position
Position: (Senior) Manager Pricing Strategy
Location: Shanghai China
Your Opportunity:
- Lead cross-functional teams in governing new product pricing including national reimbursement innovative payment models and other relevant initiatives. Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies with both short-term and long-term perspectives.
- Support the organization and planning of Roche China Pricing Committee (PC) meetings to review key pricing events including product pricing decisions and financing scheme designs.
- Ensure that the China product pricing perspective is effectively integrated into the corresponding global product pricing strategy through close liaison with global access and pricing teams.
- Developed price assumptions for early-stage pipelines based on the clinical profile policy and business opportunities to support decision-making in the China market.
- Collaborate with China-based and global cross-functional teams (including Access Commercial and Global Pricing) to conduct in-depth analyses. This includes identifying pricing insights related to payers policymakers healthcare providers physicians and patients to pinpoint near-term and mid-term pricing opportunities and mitigate risks.
Who you are
- Bachelors degree in applied scientific disciplines including but not limited to business administration economics finance health policy health economics pharmacy administration or other relevant qualifications; advanced degree strongly preferred ( MBA MS MIF etc)
- Demonstrated communication and collaborative abilities at all levels within an organization keeping high strategic agility in accordance with Roche Core Competencies
- Six-plus years in positions of increasing responsibility and experience in strategic and operational pricing reimbursement or financing in pharmaceutical medical devices diagnostics or commensurate experience in related healthcare industries or relevant consultancy companies
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing product-specific pricing strategies and relevant market access strategies including reimbursement hospital and channel planning is preferred.
- Knowledge of Chinas pricing environment at national provincial and local levels including public private and commercial dynamics is preferred.
- Knowledge of pricing and financing practices in different areas of the world desirable
- Knowledge of value-based pricing research tools methodologies and analytics
- Knowledge of HTA/HEOR
- Strategic mindset problem-solving and decision-making capabilities and the ability to balance short- and long-term priorities
- Demonstrated capabilities with a record of leading cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to build strong cross-functional regional and global partnerships
- Ability to work well in matrix environment and independently
- Excellent oral and written skills; strong presentation and communication skills
- Cross-country regional and global experience desirable
- Fluency in Chinese and English; additional language desirable
