Job Description Summary

The Service Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of technical services our technicians provide to our customer base. This role is responsible for improving productivity performance efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective processes and supervision of staff. Must assure safety protocols are being followed and is responsible for monitoring technician inventory.

Job Description

The Service Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of technical services our technicians provide to our customer base. This role is responsible for improving productivity performance efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective processes and supervision of staff. Must assure safety protocols are being followed and is responsible for monitoring technician inventory.

Staff Management:

  • Supervising the day to day activities of the service technicians
  • Schedule team meetings as required
  • Ensuring service calls are current in calendars (all technicians)
  • Scheduling and dispatching Service Technicians to service calls as required
  • Ensuring the submission and completion of service work orders from the technicians
  • Coaching staff through difficult customer situations
  • Providing the Service Technicians with the training information tools coaching mentoring encouragement and recognition needed to meet business expectations
  • Review monthly Power BI KPIs with each technician
  • Co-travel with all technicians once a quarter
  • On-boarding new service technicians for safety and other job related responsibilities
  • Facilitating safety training/policy implementation for Service Department
  • Participate in required Job Safety Analysis & safe work procedures
  • Conducting annual performance and salary reviews in conjunction with the Regional Service Manager.

Sales:

  • Actively promote and sell PMAs
  • Actively promote the sale of preventative maintenance kits (compressors suction dental units)
  • Meet with Sales Reps/Consultants to get feedback and target sales opportunities

Administration:

  • Processing work orders
  • Tracking rentals
  • Logging in repairs and monitoring repair time
  • Scheduling flights for out of town work as required

Customer Service:

  • Following through on commitments to customers and internal colleagues
  • Listening to customer issues customer relations
  • Communicating client service information with the Sales Representatives and Office Staff
  • Acting as escalation point for difficult customer situations

Inventory:

  • Responsible for auditing inventory with Service Technicians
  • Managing Risk by
  • Ensuring legislative compliance
  • Managing company property
  • Ensuring adequate protection for customer property
  • Implementing corporate policies
  • Planning and controlling change
  • Provides a safe work environment through the delivery of training to employees identifying and resolving unsafe situations and reporting of injuries

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENT

  • Lists the important technical and professional skills and knowledge required.
  • Combined technical training with management training or equivalent work experience. Dental experience considered an asset.
  • Technical experience with mechanical electrical electronic pneumatic hydraulic and/or plumbing
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience at a lead hand level or above
  • Cost management experience
  • Basic IT skills (databases MS Office enterprise systems)
  • Good verbal and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Focus on the attainment of results
  • Aptitude for problem solving

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Must hold a valid Canadian drivers license and a good driving record. Flexibility to accept periodic overnight travel and evening/weekend work. Must deal with uncomfortable employee and customer situations.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$75400.00 - $113200.00 Annual
