Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Location: Falmouth MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $68$78 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This role is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care for a diverse adult patient population while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice. The RN will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care using the full nursing process in accordance with evidence-based best practices
Safely administer medications and monitor patient responses including cardiac and telemetry-related medications
Perform phlebotomy independently and manage IV therapy
Provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring chest drainage devices epidural analgesia orthopedic care and post-operative recovery
Assess and manage pain; respond appropriately to urgent and emergent clinical situations
Apply chemical and physical restraints in compliance with facility policies when required
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans medications and care needs
Accurately document assessments interventions and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Deliver age-appropriate care for adolescent adult and geriatric patient populations
Identify and report suspected abuse or neglect in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
Collaborate effectively as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Maintain all required licenses certifications and competency-based training
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active Massachusetts RN license
BLS certification (required)
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience
Phlebotomy and IV therapy experience required
Completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module
Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Exam
Travel nursing experience preferred
