Job Summary

Riverhawk Company is a New Hartfordbased manufacturer specializing in hydraulic tensioning systems custom engineered tooling and precision solutions for rotating equipment across industrial energy and emerging technology markets. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join our day-shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm) manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high mix low volume precision components that meet exact specifications and quality standards.

What youll do:

Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce a variety of products and parts to specification
Read and interpret blueprints drawings and work instructions
Select appropriate tooling fixtures and cutting parameters
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers calipers gauges etc.)
Make program edits and offsets as needed to ensure quality and efficiency
Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
Work collaboratively with engineering quality and production teams
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
Adhere to all safety quality and company standards

What we need: Applicants should have the following skills and abilities.

Minimum five (5) years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of CNC machining principles tooling and materials
Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&T
Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts

Knowledge of Feed & Speed

Experience machining stainless steel alloy steels and other specialty materials
Familiarity with high-mix low-volume manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO-style quality systems

Demonstrate excellent safety practices & housekeeping

Reliable self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Manual machining experience and/or grind experience a plus

Willingness to work a minimum of eight hours of overtime per week on an as-needed basis during busy times

Pay range - $22.50-30.00/hr (please note that this range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to prior experience knowledge skills and education as they relate to the positions qualifications.)
