Technical Project Manager

TheTechnical Project Managerwill work closely with the development/engineeringteam digital producers UX designers and internal customers to scope design and build websites and functionality for Fred Hutchs digital communication and fundraising platforms. The role owns multi-stream work management for a team of Fred Hutch developers/engineers. The position is on theUX Design & WebDevelopment teamthat includes 20 team memberswithin Fred Hutchs Marketing & Communications department.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Partner closely with UX designers and digital producers to understand new development featuresenhancementsand bugs/issues
• Translate requirements to developers/engineersto properly scope estimate and point eacheffort
• Lead Agile/Scrumdevelopment process including sprint greening pointing planning & backlogmeetings
• Participate in the complete project lifecycle process from estimation to execution (strategyinception development qualityassuranceand delivery)
• Prepare reports for Fred Hutch leadershipregardingproject status risks milestones team velocity /burnand relevant nextsteps
• Create andmaintainweekly updates for project team to accurately track team performance (wins asks risks dependencies learnings)
• Effectively communicate and set expectations develop process-related documentation manage personalworkloadand work seamlessly with all levels ofstakeholders
• Anticipate issues complications and risks and work with implementation teams on risk mitigation and escalations to avoidsetbacks
• Act as the developer/engineermain point of contact fordisseminatinginformation asneeded
• Analyze changes in user stories to support the development process and communicate established expectations to all necessarystakeholders
• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and assign work priority in partnership with theUXDesign &Developmentteamleadership
• Assume responsibility and work with developers to drive issue investigation andresolution
• When outsourcingparticipatein vendor selection process and manage against deliverables including SOWs change management and approval of finaldeliverables
• Participate in regular process review and improvementinitiatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years IT project management experience.
• Experience with project management tools methodologies and best practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of program/project management or technical project management experience in a technology-oriented organization.
• 5 years experience implementing technology using Agile/SCRUM methodology.
• Proven track record of successfully launching websites and/or web-based applications and functionalities.
• Technically savvy and able to ramp up on new technologies quickly.
• Prior experience with a content management system (AEM experience a plus).
• Prior experience with a work flow tool (Jira experience a plus).
• Strong ability to collaborate and prioritize work across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with local as well as geographically distributed team members and/or multi-vendor environments.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $99486 to $157227 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
