Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer to join a growing manufacturing organisation at its modern production facility in Ballymena. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will play a key role in driving lean manufacturing supporting new product introduction and improving production efficiency across operations.

The Role:
- Analyse manufacturing systems to identify inefficiencies and implement waste and cost reduction initiatives
- Support operational teams in deploying lean tools and continuous improvement activities across production and support functions
- Coordinate the transition of new product designs from concept through to full-scale manufacturing
- Lead Design for Manufacture activities maintaining and resolving product-based manufacturing issue logs
- Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including assessment of manpower materials equipment and layout requirements
- Design and optimise workshop and factory layouts to improve space utilisation workflow and safety
- Provide daily hands-on technical support and problem-solving on the production floor
- Design and oversee the development of jigs fixtures templates and other manufacturing tooling
- Develop and sustain efficient workflows to support scalable and flexible manufacturing operations
The Person:
- Third-level qualification in an Engineering related subject
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing engineering role
- Strong background in production line problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Experience leading engineering or continuous improvement projects
