DevOps Engineer (REF4970L)

As DevOps Engineer IoT Packet Core you will develop advanced technical solu-tions for the expansion and operation of infrastructure/services taking them to the next level of quality. For the cloud-native based production environment of packet Core incl. 5G-SA you will prepare the procedures for the complete life cycle and be the contact person for planning system integration and troubleshooting.

Your main tasks will also include:

-You support highly complex projects directly by overseeing development quality assurance planning implementation and maintenance of product re-leases.

-You develop and create strategies for automated integration and delivery including the cross-project infrastructure and tool suite. You focus on har-monized automation frameworks and cloud-native functions in Packet-Core to ensure efficient and reliable automated deployment processes.

-You elaborate on the development of new deployment strategies and disas-ter recovery plans ensuring they align with the overall goals and require-ments.

-You work closely with the operations team to deploy planned solutions im-prove process efficiency and deeply engage with innovative topics and concepts. This involves ensuring a high degree of digitization in support processes.

Qualifications :

You have a university degree with a focus on computer science or a comparable qualification and already have several years of professional experience in the DevOps environment.

Furthermore you are characterized by the following knowledge and skills:

-Comprehensive knowledge in Packet Data Core systems

- Excellent understanding of the architecture interfaces and call flows of ePC and 5GC incl. interaction to surrounding systems

- Strong knowledge in policy control (PCRF/PCF) or charging (e.g. CHF) or automation and machine-learning

- Profound experience with cloud technologies such as Dock-er/Kubernetes/OpenStack

- Extensive knowledge of Helm Istio Prometheus Flux.

- Good knowledge of microservice architecture and the maintenance of cloud-based applications

- In-depth expertise with monitoring systems and their evaluations

- Long-standing routine in 2nd or 3rd-level support in Mobile Packet Core systems

- Very good experience in classic and agile forms of cooperation

- Advantage: Experience in scripting (Python)

- Very good skills in English (writing and speaking)

- Optional: basic skills in German (mainly speaking)
