The AID project is developing a solution for the systematic collection and analysis of operational metrics to ensure the stable and SLA-compliant operation of a TV service. Currently the metric collection is based on a customized operator solution for Telegraf in an internal Kubernetes environment. The aim of the project is to migrate the existing architecture to a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure in which the entire TV service with all its applications will be operated in the future. The new monitoring solution is intended to use GCP-native services as well as extended options (Extended Support) and provide a reliable basis for service level monitoring for external customers.
