Job Summary

Support the design team in electrical equipment in high medium and low voltage substations;
Produce sketches and drawings instructions material lists and other related documents for the design of electrical/protection and control/civil/structural components utilized in electrical power generation transmission transformation and distribution systems;
Fills out the product documentation and drawing sets;
Manage and order plans from our clients;
Support the design team in the managing of the various engineering projects;
Consult with the engineers and production staff during the production phase;
Produce and check drawings according to the drawings standards of the company the customer and the applicable regulatory agencies.

Qualifications :

Certificate in electrical drafting or equivalent with 25 years of experience (experience with public utilities is an asset);
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and familiarity with BIM tools (e.g. Revit) for integrated design workflows is an asset;
Ability to produce accurate electrical arrangement drawings (plan elevation and details) single-line diagrams schematics and wiring diagrams;
Knowledge of electrical power generation transmission transformation and distribution systems including associated equipment and materials;
Understanding of applicable drafting standards;
Skilled in preparing and managing project documentation material lists and drawing sets according to company and client standards;
Competence in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint);
Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams;
Adaptability problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous learning;
Keen observation skills curiosity and ingenuity in design.
