Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Safety leadership & compliance: Champion a safe work environment; enforce PPE usage; maintain clean orderly work areas; and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Shift leadership & team supervision: Direct coach and develop hourly team members to meet daily safety training quality culture and production standards.
- Production execution: Plan prioritize and coordinate work to meet schedule commitments and achieve efficient economical run rates; manage labor cost per ton.
- General operations oversight: Supervise and support production activities across melting molding finishing and pipe operations. Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently troubleshoot issues and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Quality assurance & continuous improvement: Maintain production and quality standards; recommend and assist in changing methods and processes to improve safety efficiency and product quality.
- Maintenance coordination: Partner with Maintenance to inspect repair and maintain equipment and machinery to optimize run times and minimize downtime.
- Timekeeping & administrative control: Monitor and authorize team members time in the payroll system; complete required production logs and operational records.
- Housekeeping and other duties: Maintain a clean safe and orderly work area; perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Qualifications :
- Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Four (4) or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of foundry operations (melting molding finishing or pipe production) preferred but not required.
- Secondary schooling in an engineering field is preferred but not required.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality; ability to work assigned shifts and be available for both 1st and 2nd shift as needed.
- Ability to always wear required PPE and follow safety rules/procedures.
