Job Summary

Job Title: Automation Engineer

Location: PCS CHE Chennai

Years of Experience: 5-7 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in automation testing particularly using Selenium WebDriver and Java. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend/API automation testing and a good understanding of automation test design and execution preferably within the banking or financial domain. This role requires collaboration with development teams and participation in Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute UI and backend automation scripts.
Implement automation test cases based on requirements.
Create reusable automation components and utilities.
Execute automation regression suites and analyze results.
Debug and fix automation failures.
Collaborate closely with the automation lead and development teams.
Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts.
Participate in code reviews and sprint ceremonies.

Mandatory Skills:

Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
Strong programming skills in Java.
Experience working with IntelliJ IDEA.
Knowledge of Maven.
Experience in backend/API automation testing.
Good understanding of automation test design and execution.
Understanding of Agile methodology.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with TestNG / Cucumber.
API testing experience using REST Assured.
Basic SQL knowledge for backend validation.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
