A nurse provides direct patient care monitors health status administers treatments and coordinates with the healthcare team to support recovery and promote overall health.
Core responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients by performing physical exams checking vital signs recording medical histories and observing symptoms or changes in condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed perform basic medical procedures (such as wound care or IV management) and document all care accurately.
Educate patients and families about health conditions treatment plans medications and preventive care to support understanding and adherence.
Care coordination and teamwork
Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop implement and adjust patient care plans.
Advocate for patients needs ensuring their concerns are communicated and that care is safe ethical and patientcentered.
Maintain accurate uptodate patient records and use electronic health record systems to share critical information with the care team.
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited nursing program and a valid nursing license (such as RN) with strong clinical and patientcare skills.
Ability to work in fastpaced environments like hospitals clinics or longterm care facilities while managing multiple patients.
Strong communication empathy and criticalthinking skills to handle complex medical situations and support patients emotionally.
