Job Summary
Are you a detail-oriented professional with an eye for quality and a passion for craftsmanship Teknion Custom Solutions is looking for a Receiver who understands that high-quality furniture starts at the loading dock. If you are someone who takes pride in ensuring every piece of material from raw wood to specialty hardware is perfect before it hits the production floor we want to hear from you.
The receivers responsibilities include receiving inspecting and reviewing vendor materials to facilitate the production of high-quality wood office furniture. The receiver contributes to the production team by communicating with co-workers and vendors on incoming or outstanding material purchases while adhering to production timelines.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and process deliveries presented at the receiving door
- Verify physical quantities against the packing slip
- Perform a thorough inspection of products for damage or variance from product specification and purchase order
- Distribute incoming product within the facility
- Document receipt transactions and quality report data Teknion software
- Assemble tackboards.
This physically demanding role requires that the incumbent must be capable of frequently lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs as well as standing and walking for extended periods of up to 8 hours daily.
