Job Summary
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Department of Theatre at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applicants for a Full-Time Lecturer (3-Year contract) with a concentration in Acting and New Media beginning August 10 2026. The position will help design curriculum and courses to prepare the next generation of cross-trained theatre practitioners as actors performers voiceover artists editors content creators social media film/reel-makers and new media producers. Geared toward equipping students for career readiness the new position will focus on performance practice and creation: on stage on camera in the voice studio in immersive theatre/performance practice and on new and emerging digital platforms with a special emphasis on content creation and entrepreneurship. We expect this position to be pivotal in the ongoing cross-disciplinary collaboration and teaching within the theatre core or General Education curriculum as needed. The anticipated workload for this position is the equivalent of a 4-4 course work with the possibility of course releases for service to the department college or university and/or for production responsibilities.
