Job Summary
This position will either be filled as a Dietitian I or Dietitian II (Req: ).
University of Iowa Health Care - Medical Center North Liberty department of Food and Nutrition is seeking a Dietitian I. This position uses nutrition care process to assess evaluate and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for patients in program areas as assigned.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides quality patient care including nutrition screening evaluation assessment treatment and documentation of patient care planappropriate forpatient.
Educates students with on-the-job training. Evaluates students. Provides students withnecessarysupport andassistanceto ensure work is completed.
Assesses nutrition status and instructs/counselspatientonappropriatediet.
Participate as part of the medical team concerning problems affecting patients food habits and needs andparticipatein health team rounds concerning patient care.
Assistin the implementation of studies and short-term projects.
Performs special projects as assigned.
Participates as activememberof departmental/hospital committees.
Review and analyze production maintenance of standardscostsand personnelutilizationrecords to evaluate progress of work and to control or reduce costs.
Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staffstudentsand the public.
Assistsother dietitians as needed.
Schedule:50%
Hourly: $22.26 to commensurate
Hours:Monday-Friday 4 hour shifts preferably in the morning hours

Minimum Eligibility Requirement:
AMastersdegree oran equivalentcombination of education and experience.
Candidates registered prior to January 012024aBachelors degree in Foods and Nutritionor Dietetics isrequired.
Licensure by the State of Iowa isrequired.
Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration isrequired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills arerequired.
