Description of Work

The primary purpose of Grounds Worker I role is to maintain the grounds flora and all associated equipment to ensure a clean safe and aesthetically pleasing campus environment at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center. The Grounds Worker I will be responsible for routine landscaping gardening equipment operation and general upkeep of outdoor addition this position will be responsible for removing snow ice leaves and removal of debris from the campus. This role will assist with other areas in Maintenance as needed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Recruitment Range: $31200.00 - $46991.00

  • Prior experience working in a grounds/landscaping environment.

  • Demonstrated experience using chainsaws tractors and implements such as discs plows loaders backhoe and buckets.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing and maintain ground equipment such as lawn mowers tractors & spreaders.

This position is designated as Mandatory and Must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

About Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center:

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision daily nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living.
