Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Protect the principal against possible threats
- Federal building access control employee and visitor identification checks security equipment monitoring roving patrols of the interior and exterior of federal property
- Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred
- Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines
- Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
- Leverages excellent listening and service skills in emergency response and evaluation procedures
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed
- Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Be a United States citizen; or a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from any component of the United States Armed Forces (Army Air Force Navy Marines Coast Guard)
- Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration which bears the individuals name and social security number
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience security (armed) experience or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status with a full-service police department in a municipality state or federal law enforcement department within the US.
- A minimum of two (2) years as a member of any US Armed Forces with an honorable discharge
- Shall fluently speak read comprehend English and be able to compose written reports in English
- Must have at least three years of managing multiple facilities and a minimum of 30 direct reports.
- Must be able to qualify with a semi-automatic
- Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a customer service-driven mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
- Experience with WinTeam and eHub is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- PSOs shall be physically able to perform tasks in performance of assigned duties
- Frequent and prolonged walking standing sitting and stooping up to 12hours pr day either indoors or outdoors
- Frequent contact with the public law enforcement and dispatch center requiring an ability to speak clearly and distinctly and remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours without sitting eating or receiving a break
- Ability to remain alert for up to 12hours with ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations
- Ability to subdue violent or potentially violent or disturbed individuals or intervene in a crisis
- Occasional running sprinting lifting heavy weights moving heavy object climbing stairs
