SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Vice President of Business Banking the Business Banking Support Specialist (BBSS) supports the Business Banking team in the sales servicing and management of business clients and Business Banking loan portfolios. Assists in identifying and selling deposits loans and essential services to members and prospects. Accurately prepare and process loan approvals and closing documents clear loan documentation deficiencies provide ongoing servicing of the portfolio maintenance past due accounts and resolve customer account problems. Special projects in support of the development of the team as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Ongoing Sales Support: Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of products and services used by Business Banking members. Provide ongoing sales support to the Business Banking team including identifying sales and cross sell opportunities (by reviewing personal financial statements tax returns etc.) coordinating materials for presentations maintaining prospect lists and making joint calls if required.

Documentation Support and Accuracy: Originates processes and ensures accuracy of loan documentation for closings; including (but not limited to) entering client relationship and financial information into Meridian Link; preparing relationship summaries commitment letters and attorney letters; ordering of appraisals per company policy; processing loan disbursements; ensures that all necessary documentation is included in loan packages prior to closing (i.e. EPA appraisal and exception approvals etc.); attends closings as directed by the CU.

Credit Servicing Support and Accuracy: Maintains ongoing credit servicing of the portfolio including (but not limited to) resolving documentation exception issues within 90 days; maintaining service levels; updating financial statements; ensuring credit files are documented organized correctly and up to date with required documentation; assist in line renewal and modification process by helping prepare information needed for credit reviews.

Monitoring of Past Due Credits: Consistently follow up on portfolio past dues to ensure they remain current as per company expectation; initiates and maintains customer contact during the process; maintains reporting of past due loans and engages the appropriate business partner/manager for timely resolution.

Customer Due Diligence: Responsible for the management of the processes by ensuring timely and accurate compliance to policy and regulatory requirements related to Anti-Money Laundering and related Know-Your-Customer activities. Ensure KYC/AML deliverables are met and hold internal partners accountable. Escalate appropriate risk items and drive issues to closure.

Customer Service/Office Support: Coordinates opening of deposit and other services with Business Banking team; processes payments and line disbursements; handles customer requests for information and problem resolution; maintains working knowledge of financial products services and company credit and operations policies; performs variety of office support functions. Receive wire requests review approve and process. Manage risk activities related to wires check fraud overdraft/uncollected funds and serves as a point of contact for overdraft monitoring and escalations; process line of credit draws in a timely manner.

ADDITIONAL: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act Information Security as examples if applicable).

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Finance or another related field. Participates in professional development specifically focusing on credit analysis and understanding the business sales process.

Experience: Equivalent experience in Business Banking loan documentation Business Banking lending support or other banking position. Some accounting and or legal education would be desirable.

General: Must possess a valid drivers license. Position requires driving to other offices credit union members etc. Company car not provided. Proficient in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Outlook and other office support systems and programs. Business banking support and/or analysis.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Member Experience Management Implements the strategies and techniques used to insure members have a positive experience with the credit union and its products and services

Effective Communications - Strong well-developed interpersonal skills (written and verbal) in order to maximize business contacts and develop a working relationship with current and potential Business Banking clients. Ability to interact effectively and communicate professionally with clients via telephone email and face to face. Interact effectively with all credit union employees and departments.

Manage Multiple Priorities - Self-starter who takes charge in absence of detailed instruction; effectively initiates solutions. Manage multiple objectives projects and activities. Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize to meet deadlines; highly productive and efficient multi-tasker.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail Understanding of the necessity of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high level of accuracy.

Other: Perform other related duties as assigned or associated with the responsibility.

Compensation information: Offers are based on experience and education.

$63440.00 - $79289.60 annually
