We are seeking a Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a leading healthcare facility in the area known for its commitment to excellent patient care. Expect a dynamic practice setting that includes both office and inpatient coverage ensuring a comprehensive approach to maternal-fetal health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies managing conditions such as preterm labor chromosomal abnormalities and maternal co-morbidities.
- Conduct necessary procedures including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
- Collaborate with a supportive team including an RN clinic educator sonographer and genetic counselor.
- Manage an average of 27 scheduled patients per day in a well-equipped facility with onsite ultrasound capabilities.
- Participate in call rotations during weekdays and weekends.
- Utilize EPIC documentation system for efficient patient management.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Experience in both low-risk (5%) and high-risk (95%) pregnancy management.
- Demonstrated skills in managing various fetal and maternal co-morbidities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid Virginia medical license.
- Current NPDB report for presentation.
- AIUM Certification preferred.
