What Youll Do
As the Senior Accountant youll lead day-to-day accounting operations while supporting the finance team with budgeting forecasting audit preparation and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong leadership financial acumen and a hands-on approach to full-cycle accounting operations.
You will:
- Oversee the general ledger month-end close process and preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Manage bank reconciliations.
- Lead the preparation of balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts; collaborate with internal departments to support financial planning.
- Maintain compliance with local state and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Supervise accounts payable accounts receivable payroll processing bank reconciliations and licensing renewals.
- Serve as a strategic finance partner across departments to ensure alignment and fiscal responsibility.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits including the collection of necessary documentation.
- Review internal accounting processes; identify and implement improvements and efficiencies.
- Build and deliver financial presentations dashboards and reporting tools for executive leadership.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required).
- Experience: 5 years of accounting experience (hospitality exp. strongly preferred.)
- Skills: Strong leadership problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook and accounting software (e.g. Sage QuickBooks or similar ERP systems).
- Mindset: Detail-oriented deadline-driven and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
