Job Summary
Ballad Health Medical AssociatesisseekingaCertified Virginia-licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)to join our oncology team serving patients at the Johnston Memorial Hospital Cancer Center in Abingdon and the Smyth County Community Hospital Cancer Center in Marion.Hematology/Oncology NP/PA experience or Hem/OncRN background preferred.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Medical Oncologist and provide comprehensive care to oncology/hematology patients including:
Supervising chemotherapy administration
Managing and monitoring chemotherapy treatments
Handling infusion reactions
Prescribing or recommending medications
Coordinating referrals to specialists
Educating patients and families
