DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Radiology Services at UW Medical Center - Montlake is the premier choice for imaging in the Pacific Northwest. Our combination of expertise service and commitment to providing the latest imaging technology offers comprehensive diagnostic support for you and your family.
All of UW Medicines radiologists are board-certified and specialize in a variety of areas such as neuroradiology body radiology interventional radiology musculoskeletal radiology ultrasound nuclear medicine mammography and chest radiology. Imaging findings are integrated with all clinical data to generate comprehensive and actionable patient assessments.
We also offer a full complement of heart-related cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures including electrocardiogram (for neonatal and pediatric patients) and echocardiography services CT and MRI imaging services and nuclear imaging services.
Reports and images seamlessly integrate with your UW Medicine electronic medical record (MyChart) and are available to you and your care provider shortly after the exam has been completed.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Process reported issues through validation and entry into a Quality Assurance and Accuracy database
Respond as directed to emails from internal customers
Provide training opportunities to schedulers and provide feedback for supervisors to review with their staff
Recommend coaching topics for supervisors based on trends in scheduler performance
Assist in the preparation of statistical reports related to the program
Investigate clinic/patient scheduling complaints looking for training opportunities and working with manager and supervisors to find solutions
Update and maintain standard operating procedures for the Quality Assurance and Accuracy program as the department needs grow
REQUIREMENTS
High School graduation or equivalent AND four years of Patient Support Service Specialist experience
OR Bachelors Degree in a related field and two years of Patient Support Service Specialist experience
OR equivalent education/experience
