Job Description
The Analytical Chemist will join Vertexs growing Technical Operations Analytical team and has the primary responsibility to provide analytical support for Oligonucleotides and Peptides in late-stage phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility to provide analytical support for Oligonucleotide and Peptide-Oligonucleotide conjugated compounds
- Development and optimization of robust LC/MS IPRP and SAX HPLC analytical methods for analysis and purification of highly modified oligonucleotide drug substances
- Experience with IP-RP-HPLC AX-HPLC UPLC LC-MS LC-MS/MS analytical techniques using Agilent Waters and/or Thermos and associated software
- Operate maintain and troubleshoot lab instruments
- In depth knowledge of GLP/GMPs in a pharmaceutical environment
- Must possess excellent writing and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS or BS with 5 years of industrial experience
- Strong background in analytical development and validation of methods for analysis of oligonucleotide therapeutics
- Strong knowledge of mass spectrometry and purification techniques
- Knowledge in RP-HPLC SAX-HPLC UPLC LC-MS is preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMPs
- Must be a committed team player and collaborator
Contract Length: 12 month with a chance to extend.
