Role Information
The school is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable History Teacher to join its Humanities Department from January. The successful candidate will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced teachers.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging well-structured lessons that encourage students to develop historical thinking skills including analysis evaluation and interpretation of sources. The role includes contributing to curriculum development assessment planning and enrichment activities such as trips workshops and themed events.
The History Department is collaborative and reflective regularly sharing best practice and resources. Teachers are encouraged to use a range of teaching strategies to bring history to life and to support students of all abilities in making strong progress.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in History or a closely related subject
Experience teaching History at secondary level
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to inclusive teaching and high expectations
Willingness to contribute to departmental and wider school life
