Job Summary

MalaceHR is seeking a reliable and motivated Groundskeeper to support day-to-day grounds and landscaping operations at a college campus in Prairie View TX. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and visually appealing outdoor environment for students faculty and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work can operate landscaping equipment safely and works well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing trimming edging and blowing
Maintain lawns landscaped areas walkways and common outdoor spaces
Remove debris leaves and litter from campus grounds
Assist with seasonal landscaping tasks such as planting mulching and leaf removal
Operate and maintain grounds equipment including mowers trimmers blowers and hand tools
Report safety hazards damaged landscaping or equipment issues to supervision
Support special campus events with setup and cleanup as needed
Follow all safety procedures and campus guidelines

Qualifications

Prior groundskeeping or landscaping experience preferred
Zero-turn mower experience preferred but not required
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
Dependable punctual and able to follow directions
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining campus appearance
