Commercial Litigation Attorney
A well-established highly respected law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Houston-based litigation team. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who is confident managing sophisticated commercial and complex general litigation matters from inception through resolution.
You will play a key role in handling substantive legal work advising clients and contributing strategically to case development. The position offers meaningful responsibility autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of commercial and complex litigation including pleadings discovery motion practice depositions and trial preparation
- Draft high-quality briefs motions and legal memoranda
- Conduct advanced legal research and develop case strategies
- Oversee multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
- Collaborate effectively with attorneys paralegals and support staff
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial or complex general litigation
- Demonstrated experience overseeing matters end-to-end
- Strong legal writing research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented practice
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Admission to the Texas Bar (required)
