General Summary
The Maintenance Facilitator oversees the upkeep repair and general maintenance of the companys facilities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all building maintenance needs. The Maintenance Facilitator will be responsible for ensuring that the work is completed efficiently safely and in compliance with business standards. The Maintenance Facilitator will coordinate any necessary repairs preventive maintenance and developing projects. This includes minor tasks and/or arranging for specialized work through contractors and service providers. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage priorities vendor relationships and maintenance budgets while ensuring that the facility remains safe operative and well-maintained for all employees.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for facility maintenance issues work requests and building-related matters.
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance or repair needs.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance work and repairs both inside and through outside contractors.
- Attain quotes approved work orders and monitor contractor performance to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Manage and track preventive maintenance schedules for building regularities equipment and communal areas.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities warranties and service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations building codes and company policies.
- Monitor facility supplies and maintenance inventory; order materials as needed.
- Support minor hands-on-repairs (lighting painting etc.)
- Communicate regularly with management regarding all project updates pre-approval of costs and facility conditions.
- Assist with planning and budgeting for facility improvements or any other projects.
Job Qualifications
- Requires completion of high school education.
- A positive professional image and a high degree of confidentiality within the workplace.
- 3 years of experience in facility maintenance property management or a related field.
- Working knowledge of building systems (electrical plumbing HVAC etc.) and general repair procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and work orders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and vendor management abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks as needed. (lifting climbing etc.)
