A Day in the Life:

Attend pre-bid & post-bid meetings

Act as tender lead on single-scope and/or multi-scope projects

Maintain directory of product suppliers

Prepare construction progress schedules

Participate in initial handoff meetings and production meetings

Attend meeting with project team to perform an Autopsy on the completed project

Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers

Consult communicate and build rapport with internal departments

Coordinate the investigation and resolution of disputes defects and back charges

Visit job sites

Input information in centralized cost estimating database (PIL)

Quality and delivery of direct reports

What You Bring:

Min. 4 years experience within a Estimator Role in a construction industry particularly in the Industrial sector

Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field. Architectural Technology. Construction Management. Construction Engineering

Ability to read specs and drawings

General Building Envelope knowledge

Knowledge of Insulated Panel/Cladding systems is considered an asset

Proficiency in MS office package including MS Project.

Experience in Blue Beam

Experience in Sketch up preferred but not required

Sales skills

Strong organizational and communication skills

Strong analytical problem solving and decision making abilities

Strong negotiation skills

Ability to multi task and work in a team environment
