This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Independent Recruiter (1099) to partner with us on a per-placement basis only. This role is ideal for recruiters who are confident in their sourcing ability operate independently and prefer a success-based compensation model without hourly pay retainers or guarantees.
As an Independent Recruiter you will manage the recruitment process from candidate sourcing through placement. You control your workflow tools and methods while we collaborate on client needs and candidate submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and identify qualified candidates through job boards social platforms referrals cold outreach and professional networks
- Screen candidates through structured interviews to assess skills experience and cultural alignment
- Present qualified candidates to hiring clients and coordinate interview stages
- Support offer discussions and placement completion
- Build and maintain a pipeline of active and passive candidates
- Maintain accurate candidate records in ATS platforms (e.g. Workday iCIMS Lever Taleo UltiPro ADP SAP PeopleSoft)
- Follow compliant recruiting practices aligned with applicable employment and labor laws
Requirements
- Proven recruiting experience (agency independent or in-house) in technical executive campus or professional hiring
- Strong sourcing screening and negotiation capabilities
- Familiarity with modern ATS and HR platforms
- Understanding of employment and labor law as it relates to hiring practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple searches without supervision
Compensation Structure (Per-Placement Only)
- Compensation is paid only upon successful placement
- No hourly pay salary draw retainer or guaranteed income
- Placement fees and payout terms are defined per role or client agreement
- Payment issued after placement completion per agreed terms
Independent Contractor Classification
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role not employment
- Recruiter controls schedule work methods and sourcing tools
- Recruiter is responsible for taxes insurance and business expenses
- No benefits PTO or employment guarantees
