Job Summary
A vacancy may arise for a Group Captain (Any) Profession to serve as Gp Capt Reserve Support Wings (Gp Capt RSWs) at RAF High Wycombe on Part Time Volunteer Reserve (PTVR) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of not before 01 April 2026.
As Gp Capt RSWs you are part of the 2 Gp Reserves HQ Team working to ACOS 2 Gp Reserves. You are responsible for the control and management of the Reserve Support Wings (RSWs) ensuring the effective delivery of RAF Reserves recruitment and Phase 1 training. Working alongside the Recruitment and Selection Team you are responsible for optimising candidate throughput ahead of the transition to the contracted recruitment model. You are also responsible for providing an RSW framework optimised to support the operational delivery of 2 Gp Air Bases.
Responsibilities:
Provide the single OF5 lead for RSW operations.
Provide the OF5 lead for RSW development and future tasking.
Oversight of Reserve Support Request delivery management system future serviceable life development options.
Budgetary oversight of Air Base Reserves BLB ensuring appropriate investment to enable the delivery of the Reserves offer whilst optimising value for money.
Within existing C2 constructs support the professional development of part-time and full-time Reserve staff delivering in support of 2 Gp.
Promote an inclusive culture working to increase understanding and engagement through education and initiative.
