The Role
You will be responsible for delivering accurate timely bookkeeping services across a varied portfolio of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts
- Managing sales and purchase ledgers and the nominal ledger up to trial balance
- Handling bank reconciliations and processing client transactions
- Preparing VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks
- Liaising professionally with clients to address queries and request documentation
- Supporting the wider team with general accounting duties
This role offers the chance to work autonomously while being part of a supportive team environment.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Solid bookkeeping experience ideally from a practice environment or as a self-employed professional
- Confidence using accounting software such as Xero Sage QuickBooks or similar
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- A proactive and client-centric approach
- A bookkeeping or accountancy qualification (eg AAT) or relevant experience
