Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Our client is looking for a Senior Mobile QA Engineer to support and elevate our mobile application release process. This role will initially focus 8090% on manual testing while actively driving the evolution toward a hybrid QA model where Quality Assurance fully owns and maintains automated test suites in close collaboration with engineering.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys execution ownership and innovation particularly in leveraging automation and AI to improve quality speed and coverage.

This is a 100% remote position open exclusively to candidates based in Latin America (LATAM).

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing (Initial Focus)

Execute end-to-end manual testing for iOS and Android mobile applications
Create and maintain test plans test cases and regression suites
Validate features across physical devices and emulators

Automation Ownership

Maintain improve and expand existing automated test suites using Espresso (Kotlin) and XCTest (Swift)
Drive QA ownership of automated testing in partnership with engineering teams
Ensure automated tests are reliable scalable and aligned with release needs

AI & Innovation in QA

Proactively explore and implement AI-driven QA tools for test generation defect analysis and test optimization
Continuously identify opportunities to improve QA efficiency and coverage through emerging technologies

Collaboration & Quality Strategy

Work closely with engineers to align quality standards test coverage and release readiness
Help remove traditional boundaries between QA and engineering ownership
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices

What we are looking for:

5 years of experience in mobile QA covering both iOS and Android
Proven experience transitioning from manual-heavy testing to hybrid automation models
Proactive curious and innovative mindsetespecially around AI and automation
Strong sense of ownership accountability and attention to detail

Required Skills:

What we are looking for: 510 years of experience with React. Strong expertise with modern front-end frameworks animation techniques and performance optimization. Experience with Tailwind TypeScript and Python preferred. Proven ability to succeed in a startup environment comfortable with ambiguity rapid iteration and big challenges. A portfolio that demonstrates UI polish reusable components and front-end performance tuning. This isnt just another front-end role.
