Job Summary

  • Financial Analysis: Gather and analyze financial statements credit reports and other relevant data to evaluate the credit risk of potential and existing buyers.
  • Risk Assessment: Utilize financial ratios industry benchmarks and credit scoring models to assess the likelihood of buyer default or insolvency and determine appropriate credit limits.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough research and background checks on applicants verifying information to identify potential red flags and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare clear concise and well-supported credit analysis reports and recommendations for senior analysts and underwriters.
  • Monitoring: Assist in the ongoing monitoring of accounts and portfolios tracking payment patterns and market conditions to identify potential issues and recommend adjustments to credit terms or limits.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with internal departments (e.g. sales legal operations) and external stakeholders (clients brokers banks) to resolve disputes gather information and explain credit decisions and terms.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and maintenance of credit risk policies procedures and best practices.


Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to interpret complex financial data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and articulate complex financial information clearly and professionally.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis and modeling) and the ability to quickly learn industry-specific software and systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Integrity: High standards of integrity confidentiality and professional conduct when handling sensitive financial information.
  • Industry Knowledge: A foundational understanding of financial statements credit risk assessment methodologies and relevant industry regulations is beneficial.
