For more than 26 years we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come. Currently we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Saratoga Springs NY on a part-time basis. This unique position will involve working in a behavioral health facility providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive this role you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans provide individualized assistance to students and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time. Position entails a 20-hour a week commitment Monday-Friday 12pm-4pm. QualificationsB.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institutionActive New York State teaching license (required)Comfortable working with 14-17 year old studentsStrong organizational skillsUnderstanding of subject matter relevant to student needsReliable TransportationJoin LearnWell as we strive to make a difference in the lives of students with behavioral health needs.
