Compensation
At S&C we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $137500 - $182129. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors including performance knowledge job-related skills and experience and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&Cs annual incentive plan (AIP) subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Benefits The Senior Manager US Benefits provides strategic leadership for all US team member benefit programs including health and welfare leaves of absence and the S&C KSOP retirement plan. This role is accountable for shaping benefits strategy ensuring regulatory compliance and driving operational excellence across all benefit offerings. The Senior Manager oversees vendor governance leads complex plan administration and partners with Finance Legal and HR Leadership to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations. Additionally this position collaborates closely with the Global Benefits Director to align the US program with global benefit strategies influence executive decision-making and enhance team member experience through innovative solutions and governance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

KSOP Plan Administration

  • Direct and governtheadministrationof the companys KSOP (combined 401(k) and ESOP) planensuringalignment withcompany obojectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive end-to-end planoperations including eligibility contributions distributionsvesting schedules plan documentationand compliance testing by partneringwithFinance andthird-party administratorsto ensure flawless execution.
  • Oversee and approveall forms of employer contributions including core transition and matching contributions ensuring accuracy and fiscal responsibility.
  • Establish and enforce processes for diversificationsegregation and distribution requestsensuringcompliance with plan terms and operational excellence.
  • Provide strategic oversightofthe uncashed check processestablishing governance protocols and ensuring timelyresolutionandfullcompliance with escheatment requirements.
  • Championcompliance with ERISA IRS DOL and otherregulationsbymaintainingretirement plan documentsdriving updates and amendments and coordinating with legalcounsel and third-party administrators.
  • Directannual audits government filings (e.g. Form 5500) andparticipantcommunicationsrelated to KSOP benefits ensuringtimelyaccurateand transparentreporting.
  • Develop and presentdetailed financial modelsand forecasts toinform KSOPbudgetingrepurchase obligations contribution scenarios cash flow projections and ESOP liabilities.
  • Overseereconciliations of plan contributions and distributions ensuring accuracyof plan balancesand supportingFinancein audit readiness.
  • Leadad-hoc strategicprojectsrelated tothe KSOP plan includingplanning and execution ofannual KSOP Days eventsto enhance team member engagement.
  • Serve as primaryliaison to the plansTrustee Committeechairthe plans Administrative Committee anddrivegovernancepracticies that uphold fiduciary responsibility.
  • US BenefitsPlan Administration
  • Provide strategic leadership indesignigimplementingand evaluatingall U.S. benefit plansincluding medical dental vision life disability leave of absence and COBRAensuringalignment withthe companys Total Rewards philosophyand long-term business objectives.
  • Directvendor relationshipsat a strategic level setting performance expectations conductingexecutive-level reviews and driving accountabilitythrough data-driven reporting and escalation protocols.
  • Overseeand orchestratethe annual/open enrollment processesensuringsystem readiness communication campaigns andseamlessteam memberexperience across all platforms.
  • Champion compliance with ACA HIPAA FMLA and other federal/state regulationsby establishing governance frameworks monitoring legislativechanges and proactively mitigating compliance risks.
  • Lead benefitsbudgeting and forecasting effortsleveraging analytics and market insights to modelplan costs and inform executive decision-making.
  • Serve as key advisor and liaison to the Benefits Committee shaping governance practices and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Team Member Support & Communications
  • Provide strategic oversight for the development and maintennce of HR Shared Service referencematerials ensuring accuracy and consistency to support efficient ticket resolutions.
  • Drive resolution of escalated USbenefits inquiries by setting service standards guidig team members throughcomplex life eventsand ensuring a high-touch consultative experience.
  • Lead partnerships withHR operations payroll and other internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity process optimization and seamlessbenefits administrationacross systems.
  • Oversee the creationandgovernance ofclearteam member-centricbenefit communications and FAQsincollaboration with Internal Communications andGlobal Benefits Directr ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and engagement goals.
  • Collaboration & Governance
  • Partner withthe Global Benefits Director toshap and executeglobal benefit strategies in the U.S. and ensureseamless integrationswith local operationsand compliance frameworks.
  • Providestrategicinsightsand leadership to optimize benefits administration processes policies and technologies leveraging data and best practices to enhanceefficiency and team member experience.
  • Overseebenefits-relatedcomponentsof mergers and acquisitionsintegrations or vendor transitions ensuringrisk mitigation continuity of service and alignment with organizational objectives.

    What you will need to succeed:

  • Required
  • 10years andadministration including5yearsin a leadership role with demonstrated ability to influence organizational benefits strategy and governance.
  • Deeptechnical knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations (ERISA ACA HIPAA COBRA FMLA etc.)includingKSOPplan forecastingmodelingcompliance testing eligibility auditsparticipant diversification oversightdistribution processes and contribution interpreting and applying regulatory changes to plan operations.
  • Proventrack record of vendor governance including negotiating contracts managing performance and driving accountability withthird-partyadministrators.
  • Excellent project leadership andcommunication skills-able topresent to senior leadership influence decision making and lead cross functional initiatives with clarity and impact.
  • Excellent analytical skillsand financial acumen particularly in retirementand benefit plan data analysis. Ability to leverage data insights for strategic planning continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Exceptionalattention to detailand discretion with experience managing sensitive and confidentialinformation at an enterpirselevel.
  • High proficiency inMicrosoft applications (Teams SharePoint Office applications etc)with expert-levelExcel skills for modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Preferred
  • 3 years of experiencein ESOP administration including strategic oversight of plan operations and governance.
  • Demonstrated experienceleadingnon-discrimination testinganddeveloping complex financial models forrepurchase obligations with the ability to present insights to senior leadership.
  • Proven success in managing and influencing third-party administrators auditors and legal advisors at a strategic level including contract negotiations and performance accountability.
