Position Summary
The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating a variety of material handling equipmentincluding reach trucks stand-up forklifts and cherry pickersto load unload move and stage products throughout the warehouse. This role supports daily distribution operations by ensuring accurate inventory handling maintaining a clean work environment and following all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Forklift & Equipment Operation
Safely operate reach trucks stand-up forklifts cherry pickers (order pickers) sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.
Load and unload trucks trailers and containers.
Pick move stack and organize pallets and products within designated warehouse areas.
Operate equipment in narrow aisles high-rack areas and elevated picking locations.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Warehouse & Inventory Duties
Pull and stage orders using pick sheets RF scanners or supervisor instructions.
Assist with receiving by checking in and verifying incoming shipments.
Follow FIFO and correct product rotation standards.
Report damaged missing or incorrect products to warehouse leadership.
Quality & Safety Compliance
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Wear required PPE and follow food safety GMP or warehouse sanitation standards as applicable.
Maintain clean aisles racks docks and work areas.
Use correct safety procedures when working at height on cherry pickers.
Qualifications
Experience operating reach trucks stand-up forklifts and cherry pickers required.
Ability to operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
RF scanner experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Reliable punctual and able to work well in a team environment.
Work Environment
Warehouse setting with temperature changes depending on storage areas.
Frequent standing bending climbing and lifting.
Elevated work required for order picker operation.
